Tiny House Investors is a virtual tour of the tiniest house in Atlanta. A dollhouse opens into an endless mansion expanded by a reverberant soundscape. By applying the trope of a realtor’s video to a child’s toy within the miniature theatre of peepspace, Prewitt creates a poetic response to the aspirational real estate rabbit hole that Atlanta has fallen into since becoming one of the most overpriced housing markets in the country. The video’s generative animation and slowed + reverb sound have an unreality to them that resonate with the distortions of the housing market. Prewitt further explores this contemporary social phenomenon in his rock opera Emotional Real Estate.
